Housekeeping Supervisor

As a Housekeeping Supervisor Trainee, you will immerse yourself in the operations of the housekeeping department at a luxury 5-star hotel. This 6-month program is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to excel in a supervisory role. You will work alongside experienced professionals, overseeing housekeeping staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

During the six-month training program, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

Supervisory Duties

  • Assist in supervising daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are cleaned and maintained to 5-star standards.
  • Coordinate team schedules and delegate tasks to housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback or coaching under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager.

Operational Support

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of daily task assignments for the housekeeping team.
  • Support inventory management by tracking stock levels, managing supply orders, and distributing amenities and cleaning materials.
  • Oversee laundry operations, including linen tracking and quality checks.

Guest Service Excellence

  • Respond promptly to guest requests, complaints, and special requirements, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as Front Office and Maintenance, to resolve guest issues and ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage lost-and-found processes and other guest-related housekeeping concerns.

Leadership Development

  • Participate in team briefings and contribute to enhancing housekeeping procedures.
  • Learn to address operational challenges, such as unexpected staff absences or high-demand periods.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members.

Special Projects

  • Support seasonal cleaning initiatives, event preparations, and deep-cleaning projects.
  • Participate in efforts to enhance sustainability and efficiency within the department.

Requirements

Enrollment in or recent graduation from a hospitality, tourism, or business management program.

  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to take on challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and perform physically demanding tasks.

- Develop leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment.
