We are excited to announce two open PhD positions - fully funded research projects within the ANR-DFG French-German collaboration.
This is a unique opportunity to join an international team dedicated to advancing cutting-edge research at the intersection of nanoporous materials and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques.
These PhD projects, one located in Germany and one in France, focus on the advancement of nuclear magnetic resonance cryoporometry (NMRC), a powerful yet under-represented technique for the structural characterization of nanoporous solids.
Over the past few years, there have been significant theoretical advancements in NMRC, but its full potential remains untapped—especially for multiscale porous materials.
In a tightly collaborative way, you will help to unlock this technique's capabilities for practical applications, including battery research, green catalysis, and natural clay systems. The project will give you hands-on experience with a diverse array of experimental setups, from custom-built low-field NMR devices to state-of-the-art NMR spectrometers operating at frequencies up to 750 MHz.
A university degree in Physics, Physical Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
Funded position for 3 years with a 75% E13 salary based on German public sector regulations.
Interested applicant should send the motivation letter and a curriculum vitae to:
